ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
ACCESSIBILITY FROM THE USERS PERSPECTIVE
We endeavour to ensure that all of our sites are built around the following principles:
CONTENT
We encourage our clients to write in clear and concise English.
LINKS
Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, unless the text of the link already fully describes the target (such as the headline of an article). Links are written to make sense out of context.
IMAGES
All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include empty ALT attributes.
BROWSER TESTING
All of our sites are browser-tested to ensure that they render properly in the major PC and Mac browsers, including Internet Explorer 5.5 and above, and the latest versions of Firefox, Mozilla, Safari, Opera and Netscape.
THE ABILITY TO CHANGE FONT SIZES
Where the client has requested that font-sizes on the web site can be changed, we will build a clearly marked section with a link to do this.
However, browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox allow users to change font sizes anyway. You can change font-sizes by:
using Firefox
- Press CONTROL (CTRL) and + to increase font size
- Press CONTROL (CTRL) and - to reduce font size
using Internet Explorer
To increase or reduce font-size, go to View > Text Size > then select the appropriate size from largest to smallest.
Please note though, whilst we build sites that can have the font-size increased or reduced, the way that the pages appear on the screen will change if the font is increased in size too much. We're good, but there are limits.
TEXT-ONLY VERSIONS
Where the client has requested that the web site has a text-only version, we will build a clearly marked section with a link to change the web site to text-only.
SITE MAPS AND INDEXS
All of our sites are built with a site map page to show how the site is organised.
NAVIGATION LINKS
We always create our main navigation using text rather than images.
