THE CLIENT
Giraffe Consulting is a marketing and management consultancy company based in Edinburgh, with two other offices in Inverness-shire and Oxfordshire.
They have a mix of public and private sector clients, with Scottish Enterprise being a particularly important client. The company has expertise across a variety of sectors and offers a range of functions, as well as offering two management products to clients.
The revised web site will be primarily used as an online brochure to promote the business to their diverse range of clients.
THEIR REQUIREMENTS
The client's requirements for the new web site were:
- An updated look and feel, but retaining the essential elements of the Giraffe Consulting brand
- Reworking the site architecture to better present the key sectors and the functions that the business covers
- Raising the profile of the business through working on the search terms used in the site
WHAT WE DELIVERED
- The site we produced was developed around the giraffe theme - as the client expressly requested
- It presented the key elements of the business in a logical manner, so that visitors can be directed to information that is relevant to them
- It was designed with search engine optimisation at its core - to enable visitors, and especially potential customers, to find the web site
- We sought to design a site that used plenty of white space and that was easy on the eye. Since the site would be very much a content based, it was important to use colours and graphics available (in the banner and the giraffe image on the side), to give the page visual appeal
- We designed the site to allow for possible future developments to be easily incorporated without the need for major redesign
