CASE STUDIES - TEEGENIUS
THE CLIENT
TeeGenius is the UK's largest online golf teetime search engine. Their web site that was up and running when we became involved had great functionality but lacked real visual appeal. The client also felt that some of the user interactions were overly complicated.
THEIR REQUIREMENTS
The TeeGenius team requested that we work with them to improve the site. We would provide html templates and the associated CSS, which they would then apply to the site.
We were also asked to review all of the main user interactions on the site; and provide suggestions for ways of improving these interactions.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
Firstly, we went away and did out research - we looked at the competition, and looked at the likely target markets. From this we created a fresh design that would - we hoped - appeal to their likely users. These designs were worked up to fully browser tested html templates, which were handed over to TeeGenius to build the site with.
We also provided graphical representations - through flow charts and wireframes - of the key interactive processes involved in the site. Using this work, TeeGenius were able to refine the way visitors used the site. The aim was to make it as intuitive and easy to use as possible.
As well as this, we provided guidance on optimising the site for search engines.
The redesigned site was very much a team effort - all of the dynamic work was undertaken by TeeGenius - and we provided the new look and feel.
ONGOING WORK
Since the site was relaunched in January, its pleasing to see that both visits and page views have increased steadily. TeeGenius now claim to be largest online teetime booking service in the UK.
We've also maintained a relationship with the client by working on various smaller jobs including creating Flash presentations, graphics and animated gifs for use in their promotional material.
THEIR FEEDBACK
We were looking for a company to help redesign our website, both graphically and functionally. Arkose Design were recommended to us, and from the very first meeting we knew we'd got the right people for the job. High quality HTML, stunning visuals, detailed workflow analysis and a flexible solution were all on the shopping list, and we got them all.
Since the redesigned website went live, TeeGenius has gone from strength to strength and we are now the UK's largest online live tee-booking service. Without a doubt the professional looking website has helped us get there.
In addition to the website, we've needed extra graphics preparing, both on and offline, and Arkose Design has always delivered. We'll keep using them for as long as they can put up with our "last minute" demands!
